If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
Anyone considering applying to join our school is warmly invited to contact the school office to make an appointment to visit the school, meet the Headteacher and see our learning in action.
We hold an Open Morning and Evening each October. This is not simply an opportunity for prospective parents to view our school, but a genuine invitation to all current parents, prospective parents and members of our community to visit us and see us in action. Our Open Morning runs from 9am to 12.00pm and the Open Evening runs from 4.00pm - 6.30pm. Children from Key Stage 2 provide guided tours and our Headteacher and Governors are also on hand to answer questions and discuss their strategic role.
Individual visits can arranged at any time through the year, please contact our admin team if you would like to make an appointment. We are proud of our school and enjoy sharing our successes with propsective parents, so do please come and see our learning in action.
Visitors are also able to meet our Extended Services partners from Wickham Pre-School and Time Out Club.

Year R Admissions
In line with good practice in Hampshire schools, we admit rising fives full-time at the beginning of the academic year in which they become five. Applications for admission into our Year R class are handled by Hampshire County Council and parents should complete an online application or collect an application form from their catchment school and return it by the clsoing date in January of the academic year before their child is due to start school. https://www.hants.gov.uk/educationandlearning/admissions
Information for New Year R Parents
We hold an induction evening for parents of our new Reception Class during the summer term before they start school. This provides an opportunity for parents to meet key staff and governors, collect further information and discuss any individual needs.
We encourage our new Year R children to attend three 'stay and play' sessions for the children and parents at the end of the Summer Term so that the children meet the other children in their new class and become more familiar with the teaching staff and the learning environment.
Our Early Years Teacher and Assistant visit children and their parents or carers at home in the first week of the Autumn Term. This provides a positive opportunity for children, staff and families to get to know each other in an environment where the children are most confident.
Children often find their first few weeks at school very demanding, both physically and mentally, but our experienced staff plan for every child's needs and our children settle quickly into school life. All of our new Year R children attend school full-time from the second week of term, although a phased entry can be devised to accommodate special needs when appropriate.
